poem: equity

take a chance at my disruption
let me view your business plan
embrace in our corruption
if you approve my ideas
I think a change is in hand

exhale your truth whilst I twist
the grinder that makes the stars brighten
we can negotiate and I’ll sweeten the deal
you may trace my throat, see my pulse heighten
I’ll review the spreadsheets and imprint my seal

take your time with me, drag it out over years
make me ache with anticipation to close the merger
crack me open let my light bind you
we can tighten the margins and disclose the perjure

take my wit hard and slick
hold me down ‘til I beg for it
you can be the boss
but we’ll both know who’s in charge
