About Kari Boiter

Kari Boiter is a champion for drug war prisoners and criminal justice reform. She was recently named Patient Advocate of the Year by Americans for Safe Access for her tireless dedication to an awareness campaign to Free Chris Williams. Williams had his mandatory minimum sentence of 90+ years reduced to just over five through an unprecedented post-trial settlement agreement, triggered in part by the public and political pressure Kari leveraged through social media, international news coverage and a White House petition that collected over 30,000 signatures. In addition to her work to Free Chris Williams, Kari is President of the Board of Directors for the Cannabis Defense Coalition, a member of Seattle Hempfest Core Staff and a co-founder of ASA-Washington.
