About Jessica DeMoura
Jessica DeMoura is a medical cannabis activist from Northern California and a mother of two great kids. She became involved with medical cannabis activism after her husband, Addison Demoura’s, medical cannabis dispensing collective and their home were raided by Stanislaus County Sheriffs in 2007. As armed gunmen stormed her house and intimidated her family, she understood clearly the injustices of cannabis prohibition. She has vowed to fight to keep this tragedy from happening to other families for their choice to use and provide cannabis. Jessica is a mentor in the NORML Big Sisters program and works directly with many advocacy organizations on special projects to promote safe cannabis use and to end the prohibition of cannabis.She has played key support roles in assisting her husband in the founding of Steep Hill Lab, the nation’s first cannabis analysis laboratory. She is a proud vegetarian who loves yoga, cooking, gardening and a healthy diet. As a fourth generation cannabis consumer and producer, she hopes to raise her children in a world where innocent people aren't incarcerated for their use of a safe and beneficial plant.
