Oregon Rules Ban Edibles – The Community Responds

Photo Credit: Steve Morgan via Weedist: “The Oregon Health Authority released draft rules late Wednesday for medical-pot dispensaries to follow when they open as early as next week under a new law. Grown Women Smoking Pot in Movies

Grown Women Smoking Pot in Movies

PHOTO: Grandma’s Boy, 2006, Twentieth Century Fox I wanted to find a big list of movies where grown women smoke cannabis and aren’t depicted as blithering idiots under the influence. It was harder than I ever thought it would be. I am not talking about documentaries or anything heavy here. I am talking about light […]

Mexicans Are Awesome, Marijuana Is Too!

As a cannabis activist, I think it’s helpful to have some understanding about how prohibition began. For me, I began to form my opinion after reading from Jack Herer’s book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes. I know the term “marijuana” was created by William Randolph Hearst’s yellow journalism. I also know his newspapers had a huge […]

Mom’s Crazy Cake Recipe Just Got Crazier! (VEGAN)

Mom’s Crazy Cake Recipe Just Got Crazier! (VEGAN)

When I was a kid, my Mom used to make this cake for weekend desserts between paydays.  It is easy to make and requires ingredients generally already available from the pantry.  We had no idea at the time that it was vegan, and we sure didn’t care one way or the other. My Mom passed […]

Your Kids Will Not Start Smoking Pot Because Celebrities Do

Your Kids Will Not Start Smoking Pot Because Celebrities Do

Lately, there has been a lot of kerfuffle about celebrities and pop stars who publicly demonstrate their support of cannabis use.  Lady Gaga smoked onstage. Rihanna wears her approval on her clothing. Justin Bieber had pictures “leaked” of him smoking a blunt. Parents are outraged because they think these artists paint a bad example for their children.  They are afraid their […]

Stoner Ingenuity: A Cleaning Tip Modified for Stainless Steel Cookware

Stoner Ingenuity: A Cleaning Tip Modified for Stainless Steel Cookware

The alcohol evaporates quickly, so there is no wait time between a clean bowl and a fresh bud. It’s perfect, right?! That said, here’s the story: I have been worried about using pots and […]
