On September 26, I had the great pleasure of attending the opening of 3D Cannabis Center’s second location in the quaint, family-oriented mountain town of Salida, Colorado in Chaffee County. Nestled in the midst of Colorado’s Rocky Mountain fourteeners like Mount Antero (14,269 ft) and Mount Princeton (14,197 ft), 3D CC Salida was welcomed heartily by the Salida Chamber of Commerce. As many of our readers are aware, 3D Cannabis Center Denver was the first retail outlet to sell legal cannabis on New Year’s Day in Colorado and is also a proud supporter of Ladybud Magazine. In addition, owner Toni Fox is a philanthropist championing many organizations including Operation Grow4Vets, a group that helps military veterans who suffer from PTSD, TBI, chronic pain and other serious medical conditions obtain or grow cannabis. Toni Fox has also helped individual families whose children suffer from cancer and epilepsy who require cannabis to treat their illnesses. She also championed the passage of Amendment 64.

When presented with the First Dollar of Clear Profit Certificate, Toni was all smiles while several staff members, activists, friends and family alternated between enthusiastic applause and weeping. Christie Lunsford, a close friend of Fox’s and fellow industry pioneer was proud of her friend. “It is so great to see 3D warmly welcomed by this community. ” Indeed, when a representative addressed those gathered for the occasion, she said, “We are honored that you chose Salida for your business. We sincerely appreciate that — especially the jobs, we really appreciate those. We need them. Thank you.”

Toni mentioned during the festivities that in the past, neighborhood groups in Denver had testified against her business but “the Salida Chamber of Commerce is happy to have us and we are now proud gold metal members.” They are even featured on the Salida Chamber’s website with other top-level members from Century Link, Remax Real Estate, and the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.

It reads:

“3D Cannabis Center is a 100-percent Retail Recreational Marijuana Dispensary located at 248 E. Hwy. 50. This is the second location for the world-famous 3D Cannabis Center. The Denver location was the home of the first legal recreational sale on January 1, 2014, and offers the world’s largest viewing corridor where guests can see cannabis being cultivated.
