Unify.org is once again organizing a Global Peace Meditation this year, and it is scheduled to take place this Friday! The focus of the event will be sending positive intentions to the world, with the hope that the global focus on peace will help manifest more peace and compassion on our little blue planet.
On Friday, August 8th, from 9 am to 10 am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), people all over the planet will take a break from their daily hectic lives to meditate for an hour on world peace. If you aren’t quite sure when that would be for you, you can find the right time in your time zone by following this link.
There will be a brief explanation of meditation and the focus of the event, followed by a guided meditation lead by Deepak Chopra and Gabrielle Bernstein. India Aire will be performing live at the event as well, providing beautiful and peace-inspiring background music for those meditating.
There will also be an online streaming of the event at 12 EDT on August 8th, hosted by Deepak Chopra. The live stream will be hosted in Vancouver, Canada. The event and access to the streaming video are totally free and open to anyone who wishes to participate in person, online or in spirit.
Pre-registering on the Facebook page or on Unify.org’s home page will help the organizers anticipate the turnout for the event ahead of time.
