RECIPE: Kiki Rosemaria’s Ganja Coconut Oil

Why coconut oil? It is 100% fat, which means more THC extracted from your cannabis!

Ingredients & Supplies

  • Ganja
  • Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Crockpot
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Water

NOTE: Depending on how strong you want your edibles, you will want to adjust your oil to weed ratio. To start, I usually put one ounce of ground weed or trim to one cup oil.

Set your crockpot to the lowest possible setting and melt one cup virgin coconut oil. Add about 4 cups of water and your weed, making sure it is ground as small as possible. Stir the mixture so as to full coat the herb. Cook on the low setting for as long as you can stand, anywhere between 5-8 hours. You will want to replenish the water as it evaporates so check on and stir the oil throughout the process to make sure it’s not burning.

After you’re done cooking, wait for the oil to cool for at least an hour, then strain the plant material out of the water using cheesecloth, nylons or an old t-shirt. You may want to run some hot water through your plant material and strain again, to get the maximum amount of oil out as possible.

Take the bowl of liquid and pop it in the fridge over night. In the morning, there will be a hockey puck of delicious ganja coconut oil floating atop the murky water. Simply retrieve the puck and pour the water down the sink. You’re now ready to use it in whatever recipe your little heart desires.
